Summit Technology Consulting Group (STG), the leading cloud engineering firm serving the financial services industry, announced the expansion of their Open Banking organization while welcoming Nitin Bhatia as Executive Director. The Open Banking organization at STG is a division that helps community and regional banks innovate and bring new solutions to market.

“We are seeing a dramatic increase in the number of our banking clients who are leveraging APIs from their Core Providers or related third parties,” commented Ben Wallace, CEO of STG. “The driver is to leverage best of breed solutions and enable certain capabilities unique to their place in the market. With Nitin’s experience leading similar internal efforts for JPMorgan Chase over the past several years, we will leverage his expertise to accelerate the delivery of innovative solutions to the community bank segment.”

Nitin Bhatia is a financial services industry veteran, with experience at JPMorgan Chase, Barclaycard, and CitiBank. “Nitin understands the unique challenges of innovating, yet balancing the maturity of long-tenured complex systems. We are thrilled Nitin is joining our mission to help community bankers across the country innovate”, said Ben.

STG, whose investors include the American Bankers Association, is focused on helping community and regional banks modernize their datacenters and processes through public cloud solutions. The growth in Summit’s Open Banking division reflects banking customers’ increasing interest in innovation and improving how they operate and interact with their core banking platforms.
